The smart all-rounder for sustainable heat
Whether fuelled with wood chips or pellets, the KWB Multifire 2 is a true all-rounder among biomass heating systems. It combines a robust design with economical fuel use and provides reliable heat from 20 to 120 kW for multi-family homes, agricultural businesses and commercial premises.
Complete flexibility when choosing fuel
The KWB Multifire 2 represents robust technology and outstanding reliability. At its heart is the KWB crawler burner, manufactured to industrial standards and operating like a conveyor belt for the fuel. High-alloy, self-cleaning cast grate components ensure durability and efficiency. The moving grate adapts easily to varying fuel qualities, allowing flexible heating with wood chips or pellets.
Economical and efficient
The KWB Multifire 2 wood chip heating system operates particularly efficiently and economically. During operation, the grate of the KWB crawler burner adapts automatically to the fuel quality and ensures combustion with virtually no unburned residue, preventing fuel from being wasted. The boiler detects the current heat demand automatically and only operates when heat is required.
Because the KWB Multifire 2 cleans itself during operation, the heat supply remains consistently stable. The heat exchanger also removes ash and cleans itself automatically. Its specially shaped turbulators ensure optimum heat transfer and high efficiency throughout the year.
Easy ash removal
For even greater convenience, an optional two-part ash box with integrated fill level monitoring is available. It can be unlocked easily and removed using practical carrying handles. Dividing the box into two containers reduces the weight of each section and makes emptying particularly easy. Thanks to clean combustion and low fuel consumption, the ash box only needs to be emptied approximately once a month.

Technical benefits
The single-chamber cellular wheel sluice features hardened, replaceable cutting edges, a deep filling chamber and large sealing surfaces. It conveys and meters the fuel and consists of a rotor with a single chamber. This keeps the connection to the fuel supply securely sealed even while fuel is transferred to the burner, providing burn-back protection and maximising the operational reliability of the system.
The optional flue gas recirculation system is installed at the boiler’s flue gas connection. It diverts part of the cooled flue gas produced during combustion and returns it to the combustion chamber. This protects the system against wear during continuous operation and under high loads. It also cools the firebed on the grate, reducing fine dust emissions.
The KWB Multifire 2 can optionally be equipped with a 175-litre intermediate hopper that is filled automatically with wood chips from the storage room. This means the conveyor system starts less frequently and only transports wood chips when the hopper is empty, reducing both noise and electricity consumption. Where required, such as during quiet hours at night, the boiler can continue to draw fuel from this intermediate hopper.
The KWB dust filter operates according to the principle of electrostatic particle separation and removes fine dust from the flue gas. The separated filter dust is collected in a generously sized ash drawer that can be accessed conveniently and cleanly from the front. With the KWB dust filter E Plus, fluctuating fuel qualities no longer present a challenge in terms of fine dust emissions.
