Basic log wood heating system and log wood boiler
KWB Classicfire 1Simple. Clean. Safe.
- Single- and multi-family homes
- Agriculture & forestry
- 15–20 kW
Traditional and compact heating
The KWB Classicfire 1 log wood heating system is the ideal entry-level model for agricultural businesses and single-family homes with their own woodland or access to wood. It requires very little space, is easy to operate and is available with outputs from 15 to 20 kW – ideal for anyone wishing to heat with a renewable fuel.
High output in a compact space
Thanks to its compact design, the KWB Classicfire 1 is ideally suited to small boiler rooms. Combined with a buffer storage tank with a capacity of just 1,000 litres, it requires particularly little space. Its low overall height and low flue pipe connection also make the log wood boiler an ideal solution for renovation projects, as it can be installed easily in older boiler rooms with a low chimney connection.
Convenient and efficient
The KWB Classicfire 1 log wood heating system is filled conveniently in the traditional way using logs up to 50 cm long. The generously sized front door makes loading easier and ensures a high level of operating convenience. Thanks to the 80-litre filling chamber, the boiler generally only needs to be loaded once or twice a day to supply an average single-family home with heat throughout the day.

Technical benefits
The KWB Classicfire 1 is equipped with a speed-controlled induced draught fan, ensuring particularly efficient combustion. The fan is positioned at the flue pipe connection and draws air through the boiler. The greater the airflow, the higher the output.
The control system automatically detects whether sufficient heat is already available in the system, for example when the temperature in the buffer storage tank is high enough. In this case, the speed of the induced draught fan is reduced and the boiler output is lowered to as little as 50%. This saves fuel and money.
For log wood operation, the ash container is not permanently attached to the boiler and can be stored underneath it to save space. When required, it can simply be hooked directly beneath the loading door. A cleaning set with sweeping tools is supplied as standard with the KWB Classicfire 1.
Easy and flexible operation
The KWB Classicfire 1 can be operated using the KWB Comfort 4 control system via the colour touchscreen display or alternatively with the control dial. The dial is particularly practical when wearing work gloves, for example while adding more wood.
The intelligent control system makes heating even easier by indicating, among other things, how much wood should be added for optimum operation. It is also prepared for connection to the KWB ComfortOnline platform, allowing the boiler to be controlled and maintained remotely using a smartphone, tablet or PC.

KWB Classicfire 1 in detail
KWB Classicfire 1
Efficient combustion
The broadband lambda probe continuously monitors and optimally controls combustion, ensuring low fuel consumption and a high level of operational reliability.
Consistently high efficiency
Semi-automatic heat exchanger cleaning is carried out simply using a lever. A clean heat exchanger ensures that the generated heat is transferred to the heating water at a consistently high level of efficiency.
Robust metal casing
The robust metal casing features scratch-resistant paint.
Low emissions
The high-temperature vortex combustion chamber burns the wood gas at very high temperatures with virtually no residue.
Dual control
The KWB Comfort 4 control system can be operated via the colour touchscreen display or alternatively using the proven control dial. The dial is particularly convenient when wearing work gloves. The control unit is positioned so that it is never exposed to heat, even when the combustion chamber door is open.
Rapid heat supply
The quick-charge valve ensures that only the upper section of the associated buffer storage tank is charged with hot water. This allows the heat to be supplied rapidly to the various heat consumers.
