KWB EmpaCompact

The KWB EmpaCompact is a genuine energy centre that helps keep the boiler room neat and organised. It is quick to install and combines a large part of the boiler room equipment in a multifunctional buffer storage tank with a footprint of just 1 m². It is primarily used in single- and multi-family homes and is particularly well suited to use with a KWB pellet heating system.

The KWB EmpaCompact also improves the efficiency of the entire heating system. High-quality fibre insulation helps minimise radiant heat loss, while base insulation and protective covers reduce cooling of the hot water required by the heating system.

With the optional fresh water station fitted to the KWB EmpaCompact, no separate domestic hot water cylinder is required. Domestic hot water is prepared on demand using the flow-through principle. Cold drinking water passes through the fresh water station and is heated by the hot water in the buffer storage tank. The two liquids flow past each other without coming into contact, as they are separated by a plate. This makes the KWB EmpaCompact a particularly hygienic storage solution.

The KWB EmpaCompact is equipped with several stratified charging devices. Depending on its temperature, return water from heat consumers such as radiators is directed either into the upper, hotter section of the tank or into a lower, cooler section. This prevents hot and cold water from mixing unnecessarily.

As a result, the water drawn from the top of the tank remains consistently hot, reducing the need for the boiler to reheat the storage tank continuously. Heating systems generally operate most efficiently when unnecessary starts and stops are avoided.
