The KWB EmpaEco is a buffer tank that is predominantly used in multi-family houses, agricultural or commercial companies or hotels.

The buffer storage tank is the energy centre in the heating room. It absorbs excessive heat and dispenses it when needed. With a sufficiently large capacity, it ensures a long and optimized service life for the biomass boiler. The KWB EmpaEco is particularly efficient because it is insulated with fibre fleece, a ground insulation and covering caps. These prevent that the hot water, which is needed for the heating units, cools down. Ideally, the KWB EmpaEco is combined with a KWB log wood heating system.

KWB EmpaEco with strata charging device

The KWB EmpaEco is optionally also available with a strata charging device. The strata charging device ensures that the water that flows back from the consumers (e.g. heating units) in direction of the buffer storage tank flows into the storage tank either at the top (hot) or further down (cooler) depending on the temperature. This way, hot and cold water do not mix. The water that is taken out at the top and goes to the consumers is thus kept continuously hot, and the boiler does not need to constantly keep heating. Generally, a heating system always works most efficiently if it does not have to stop and start frequently.

A buffer storage tank increases the service live and efficiency of your heating system even more particularly if it has a strata charging device like the KWB EmpaEco.
