The flexible combination heating system

KWB Combifire

The flexible heating solution

  • Heating with logs and pellets
  • 18–38 kW output
  • Single- and multi-family homes
  • Agriculture & forestry

The best of both worlds

The KWB Combifire combination heating system combines traditional log wood heating with the convenience of a fully automatic pellet heating system. Whenever required, the system switches fully automatically between the two fuels. With an output range of 18 to 38 kW, the KWB Combifire is the ideal choice for single- and multi-family homes as well as agricultural businesses.

Stay flexible

The KWB Combifire gives you maximum flexibility when heating: traditionally with logs or fully automatically with pellets. Both combustion chambers are optimally matched to their respective fuels, ensuring maximum efficiency. As soon as the logs have been used up, the system switches automatically to pellet operation. This keeps your home warm even when you are away for longer periods.

Easy ash removal

The KWB Combifire makes heating even more convenient, as the ash container no longer needs to be emptied every day. Thanks to particularly clean and efficient combustion, only a small amount of ash is produced. The ash drawer suspended beneath the boiler therefore only needs to be cleaned approximately every ten days. The mobile ash box of the pellet module is even more convenient and only needs to be emptied once or twice a year.

Online control

Greater convenience and security: KWB ComfortOnline allows you to control your heating system remotely using a smartphone, tablet or PC. You can view the operating status, heating times and temperatures at any time and receive automatic notifications by text message or email when changes occur. After a holiday, you can start the boiler while travelling home and enjoy comfortable warmth when you arrive. On request, your heating installer or KWB Customer Service can also be given temporary access to the system.

The KWB Classicfire 2 and KWB Combifire are optionally available with automatic ignition. The boiler can be filled with logs and a time set for automatic ignition. Modern KWB technology allows the ignition door to remain closed throughout the ignition process. No matter when you arrive home, you will be welcomed by comfortable warmth.

The KWB Combifire combines combustion systems for two fuels in one efficient and optimised overall system with a shared heat exchanger. Automatic heat exchanger cleaning reduces maintenance between service intervals and helps ensure that the heating system maintains a consistently high level of efficiency.

Thanks to the KWB modular and easily transportable system, the boiler can be separated into three modules, with each module weighing no more than 220 kg. The separable boiler body makes it easier to transport the system into almost any boiler room and install it where space is limited. Your installer can bring the boiler in more quickly, while damage to walls during transport becomes a thing of the past. This saves time and money.

Easy and flexible operation

The KWB Combifire can be operated particularly conveniently using the KWB Comfort 4 control system, either via the modern colour touchscreen display or with the practical control dial, which is ideal when wearing work gloves. The intelligent control system actively supports the heating process and indicates, among other things, when more wood should be added and how much is required. For even greater convenience, the system is prepared for KWB ComfortOnline, allowing the boiler to be monitored and controlled easily using a smartphone, tablet or PC.

KWB Combifire output ratings

Storage and conveyor systems for pellets

Our pellet storage systems and matching conveyor systems can be adapted flexibly to the available space. Whether the storage room is located directly beside the heating system, further away or outside the building, there is a suitable concept for every situation. Even a former oil storage room can be converted into a pellet store. The KWB Pellet StirrerPlus with an elbow screw transports the fuel to the boiler reliably and conveniently.
